Camp Sherman

Our "Signature Adventure"

Purpose:
The Purpose for Camp Sherman is to provide an opportunity for the young men of this world, that want to make a positive difference in society, a place to be grounded in enduring life Principles and Values through associating with those that live these traits of excellence every day.
If you need to communicate “…when necessary, use words” St. Francis of Assisi
Mission:
Our Mission is to positively influence these young men with wisdom necessary for a long-term cohesive family unit which will result in a secure future of the nation. Experience has taught us that many enduring traits are not being indoctrinated into the next generations and hence an increasing selfishness and the moral decline that we are witnessing in our society today. Camp Sherman chooses to focus on the solutions to reverse these trends. We desire to instill into the next generations of young men, the skills necessary to be problem solvers, and not part of the problem. The intent of Camp Sherman is to turn the tide of this moral decline, and encourage more young men, to live, teach, take a stand, and instill these enduring traits into the next generations.
“We should not fear failure, rather we should fear to succeed at something that doesn’t matter”, D.L. Moody
Camp Sherman can be a starting point for these young men to begin the formulation of their Legacy that will positively influence and lead their circle of influence. We expect that this will be the beginning of a very rewarding journey for our young men of today and tomorrow. These young men are one of the critical ingredients to a long-term cohesive family unit and nation.
Camp Sherman occupies the north ~40 acres of the Double B Ranch, the ‘entitled property’, and will be dedicated to the above Purpose and Mission. The camp’s name is in honor of the homesteader’s that have come before us, coupled with their desire to pass on their Legacy. Camp Sherman’s logo displays a handshake because that is how it began, with a simple handshake between two men that respect each other and honor their word.
Values:
Camp Sherman values are based on Biblical principles in concert with our American Founding Fathers intent for this country. The camp is not associated with any specific faith, religion, or group. Yes, we pray and yes, we recite the Pledge of Allegiance to this amazing nation. We value and respect the individual, no matter the age, race, creed, faith, or color, and believe that when we protect the inalienable rights and freedoms of the individual, the family and this country will do just fine. We also fervently believe that there are no handouts in life, and to make our place in this world each individual needs to add value. It is the value we add, our contribution, that makes this world a better place for all of us.
“Life is a grand adventure, or nothing at all”, Helen Keller

We don’t know how it is all going to come together, but we do know this; that there is a master plan and we are not pulling the strings. We are simply walking out on the limb of faith that this property can be utilized for the glory of our Lord for countless generations to follow.
