I challenge you to take this for a test drive. I am confident that you will be amazed of the results in your life!

Many years ago I was introduced to a concept called "Incremental " vs "Intersectional" invention.
To explain, "Incremental invention" makes slight improvements on a product or service to better attract and serve your customer base. You can only do so much tweaking before you have to come up with a new idea to continue to serve your client base.
"Intersectional invention" is when two or more unrelated ideas, industries or concepts intersect, and at that intersection you could have a brand new result, a brand new aha! At that point is where you get explosive growth and success!
Shortly after I understood the two types of inventions, I listened to an accomplished author and speaker, Oliver DeMille. He shared a concept that made NO sense to me. He said that we typically pick up a book for its content and then we read that book for the authors insights on that topic. Ok, I had done that for years and had learn a lot! Oliver suggested, to stop reading the book for only its content!
If I had a question about social issues, wouldn't I read a book about social solutions? According to Oliver, not necessarily!
There are questions that crop up as we go through life and we seek those answers. He suggested to keep that list of questions close as you read any book (related topic or not), and search for those answers as you read anything.
According to Oliver, I might find answers to social issues in a calculus book...humm...really?
I have done this for over a year, to prove or disprove his theory with incredible results. You will simply be amazed of how many times an unrelated topic can reveal the profound answer you seek.
"Intersectional invention'. Now I get it!!!
It works! I challenge you to prove me wrong!
