Our first Project - finished

Updated: Nov 11, 2018

I had several ideas for projects that needed to be completed before the snow flew this year, but my bride mentioned that the "Toll Booth" (outhouse) should be on the top of our list. So I made a deal with her; she digs the hole, and I build it. Whew, she agreed. There was an old collapsed shed on the ranch, so the wood was reclaimed and constructed my first ever outhouse! As Paula (my bride) was digging the hole she discovered 8" into it, nothing but clay! I have to tell you that she earned that hole, and did and awesome job!

The first time my 91 year young mother sat on the seat at day break; I can still hear her comment: "WOW that's cold!" From that day on I made it a point to warm up that seat for her by getting there before she did.

It is designed so that it can be towed where it is needed, provided there is a hole ready for it.

I can't wait to see what it sounds like inside as the rain beats down on the tin roof...

The reclaimed car spring door stop is for those days you need more light to complete your reading assignment, or when you want to watch the game cross the meadow in front of you.

Well it is off to my next project and that is the log shed.
